Note that all of our classes and workshops can be delivered on-site, at your firm. Some classes are also suitable for web presentation. And one of our most popular workshops (Marketing Your Litigation Support Department) is available as a video.
Discovery Project Management
We offer a two-part project management class aimed at litigation support professionals, paralegals, and attorneys who are responsible for discovery projects. The two parts can be taken separately or together. Part 1 is a two-day class. Part 2 is a one-day class.
PM1: Best Practices for Handling Discovery
This two-day class is a must for litigation support professionals responsible for managing document handling projects. The project management skills, components, and techniques covered in the class will prepare you to manage any of the document handling tasks associated with litigation discovery -- everything from identification and collection through production.
PM2: Case Planning and Managing the 'Big Picture'
This one-day class is aimed at litigation support professionals who have additional, "big picture" case-management responsibilities. It builds on the concepts covered in the Project Management 1 class (PM1) as they apply to managing the flow of discovery from one step of the discovery process to another.
Marketing Your Litigation Support Department
Many firms have high quality internal litigation support capabilities that are sadly under-utilized. Litigation support professionals repeatedly see cases where lawyers passed up a great chance to use technology -- or who used a second- or third-rate technology -- simply because they didn't know about the firm's internal capabilities.
This two-part program -- a class and a workshop -- will help you develop and implement a marketing plan to make sure the lawyers and paralegals in your firm make good use of the resources that are available in-house.
MK1: (Class) Marketing Your Litigation Support Department
This is a one-day class and workshop. In the class, you'll learn about the problems that litigation support departments face in ensuring that their services and skills are fully and appropriately utilized by their own lawyers and paralegals. You'll also learn basic techniques for meeting those challenges.
In the workshop portion of the program, you'll work with our instructor to develop a customized marketing plan to overcome those challenges in your own firm.
MKV1: (Video) Marketing Your Litigation Support Department
This is the do-it-yourself version of our on-site class and workshop program. It includes one hour and twenty minutes of video guidance, plus workshop materials aimed at helping you to develop a marketing plan for your department.
